WP-PagesNav

WP-PagesNav is a plugin for WordPress which allows for a different approach to handling pages in WordPress.
I just updated it to make sure it works with WordPress 2.0 and in the course of that update I also added the new parameter list_tag which if set to 1 will supress it initial ul tag, usefull if you want to integrate other static elements in the navigation. The navigation at the top of this blog is created using wp_pagesnav.

The installation instructions are available on the documentation page
Download current version: 0.0.4

I’ve just downloaded and installed, but there seams to be an error. The above link states version 0.0.4 but the file downloaded states 0.0.1 and fails to load the function “wp_pages_nav” There is a file called svn-commit.tmp~ in your zip file which leads me to believe that there may have been an error with your svn system. Let me know if this is the case and if it can be fixed. I’d love to put this plugin to use.

My bad, I was on a blog page with the wrong parameters set for wp-pagesnav. I now have the following to invoke the function and it works as it should.

	<div id="pages_nav">
      <?php if(function_exists("wp_pages_nav")) {
  wp_pages_nav("show_all_parents=1&sort_column=menu_order&show_root=1&depth=5&show_children=1");
    } ?>
</div>

Thanx Adi for responding to my problem. It didn’t occur to me that the parameters would control so well. I guess I was abit sleepy on install.

I am using WP 2.0.9 and I am using this plugin for navigation.

My problem is that when I password protect my post, the link to the page disappears from the navigation menu.

Anything in the plugin??

Is there any way to create drop-down menus with this plugin? I have it for an older version of wordpress, 2.0.3. Thanks!

Hi Eduardo,

not with this Plugin, and I currently don’t really have the time to create a new one.

Is there a demo page where we can see a sample menu(s) using this plugin?

Any users have links to their pages utilizing this?

anyone having trouble getting it to work on the homepage? i am getting an error that says there is a problem on line 119 of the pagenavwidget.php but it only shows up on my home page…

Great plugin. The one problem I’m having with it is that if I exclude a page from the menu listing - when I directly link to that excluded page the pages-nav menu disappears…

any thoughts on what could fix this? I’m happy to email a link.
